Tara B Sheehan

Social Worker

Interview Location: Sydney NSW

Tara is a professional Social Worker who has brought her extensive experience supporting children and families across NSW and QLD to the field of Family Law since 2022.

Tara has worked therapeutically, and as a family coach to apply resilience led, evidence based interventions in her work to keep children safe from harm. Her work in the foster care sector, assessing the suitability of guardianship and adoption applications finely tuned her skills to evaluate what children need and create solutions to meet them.

Tara completed three years of practical and theoretical study with the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute, through the Australian Childhood Foundation, in 2015.

This training provides Tara with a unique set of skills to assess and work with individuals who have experienced trauma and support them towards recovery. Tara's professional training extends into Law as she works towards her Juris Doctor in Law through RMIT.
