Jill is a Social Worker and a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers. She is an experienced Family Report Writer working for Lander Solicitors Queensland (a multidisciplinary family law practice) in Brisbane.
With over 30 years of experience working in child safety, youth justice, mental health, alcohol and other drugs, housing and disability services Jill excels at working with families who are vulnerable and have complex needs associated with drug and alcohol misuse, domestic and family violence, mental health diagnosis or child safety concerns.
Jill enjoys interviewing families from a range of backgrounds and cultures, including those who are First Nations and for whom English is a second language. Having worked in child safety for a large part of her career Jill is proficient at conducting thorough interviews and undertaking comprehensive risk assessments.
Jill’s clinical expertise and skill extends to clinical interviewing, conducting assessments, intervention planning and case management. She is an experienced Single Expert Witness and has given evidence in a range of courts in Queensland and in the High Court in London.

Fees: $13,000.00 + GST + additional travel fee for locations outside of Brisbane & Sydney
Turnaround Time: Four weeks
Scope: Includes interviews, background reading material including subpoenaed documents (up to 500 pages - additional fee of $250 + GST per hundred pages thereafter).

CHILD IMPACT REPORT/SHORT FORM REPORT
Availability: October 2025
Fees: $4,900.00 + GST
Turnaround Time: Three to Four Weeks
Scope: Brief interviews with parents and subject children. This brief Child Impact Report does not include extensive background reading or reading of any subpoenaed documents, however, we request the following documents no later than two weeks prior to interviews taking place:
Letter of joint instruction
Affidavit from each party or a one-page summary of events to date
Copy of the most recent court orders if applicable
Please note that Child Impact Reports are not suitable for complex matters in which there are allegations of violence or abuse to be investigated. They are brief assessments of how the children are currently functioning and will not have the scope to investigate, substantiate or refute allegations.
